I only just realised that its almost a year ago since I last posted a message on this blog.
From a work perspective things have not changed much, as I am still searching for that elusive job...but I guess that's true for many people in these tough times. I am not one to despair when things don't quite turn out as expected, instead I see this as an opportunity to indulge in my interests including a lot more photography and considerable time researchi

The climb up the hill was the hardest it had ever been each step seemed to drain more and more of his energy
but eventually he made it to the hidden glen
As the small fire took hold at last some warmth wrapped itself around the traveller as he sat back and looked…

.With a final look at the night sky and the huge halo around the moon i smiled and closed the door and hurriedly headed to bed .
Already all life in the bus was in the land of nod ,snoring and dream filled whimpers filled the room

supply.

Last September My girlfriend and I took a canoe trip on Loch Lomond to see if we could find the fabled wallabies,
In the 1920's Lady Arran Colquhoun introduced a mob of wallabies onto her private island on Loch Lomond and totally unmanaged they have continued to thrive with a viable population of around 25(+/-)
Lately the Wallabies have been under threat by the current Estate Mangement, who claim they need to be culled to preserve the habit for native species.... a load of bollocks in m…

All around the bus
The evening stars shone bright
A flurry of fresh snow was falling
The roaring fire casting a warm yellow glow
Belly’s full with Mel’s Italian Stew
So of to bed content and happy
The dogs by the burner curled and relaxed
The cats in their chosen beds for the night
One on the tele the other under the sofa
Drifting drifting and gently the land of nod calls
All aboard the bus was peace and quiet.
Then in the darkness of the early hours
A strange rumble could be heard…

Stewart History
The Stewart family records its traditional descent from Banquo, Thane of Lochaber, who makes an appearance as a character in William Shakespeare's MacBeth. Historically, however, the family appears to be descended from an ancient family who were senechals of Dol in Brittany.

WE WILL GO HOME ACROSS THE OCEAN, WE WILL GO HOME
We will go home across the ocean, we will go home
To a land far away and to most now unknown
Our hearts and soul long for the thistle that is home grown
We will go home across the ocean, we will go home
We sailed to the New World our future most unknown
The harshness of the New World was a reality that set an uncertain tone
To seek fame and fortune was for sure was on many a minds
The site that unfolded before our eyes was like a gra…

On this very special day, we would like to announce our official website for the group.
www.rtburnsclub.com. Some may know we used to have a journal with wonderful pictures and articles, totalling over 1200 with 90,000 views until rotten tomatoes changed the format, so now we will always have a proper website where we can also gather and plan and enjoy all things Burns and Scotland. We hope you will say hello in the guestbook. Its still under…
